This policy explains what personal information Long Range America LLC (“LRA”, “we”, “us”) collects through longrangeamerica.com, our emails and our shop in Boise, Idaho, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
In short: we use your information to sell, ship and support our products. We don’t sell it for money. You can change this any time with , and we honor your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal.

What we collect
Information you give us
- Orders and checkout: name, email, phone, shipping and billing addresses, company, what you buy, discount codes, and notes. If you choose a FedEx Freight terminal, the terminal you pick.
- Payments: card, bank (ACH) and Affirm payments are handled by Stripe and Affirm. We never see or store your full card or bank account number; we keep the payment amount and method and Stripe’s payment reference (and for dealers, whether the card was credit or debit, to apply card fees correctly). Your receipts show the card brand and last four digits, which we get from Stripe.
- Your account: your email address and the sign-in codes we email you. We don’t use passwords for customer accounts.
- Support: what you write to us through the contact form, ticket pages, email or phone, including any order number you give us.
- Warranty registration: name, contact details, address, tank tag number, purchase and installation dates, and the installing dealer.
- Dealer applications and dealer accounts: business name and details, contact people, address, website, resale permit number, and any W-9 you upload (which can include a taxpayer identification number). W-9s and resale documents are stored privately and used only for tax and account records.
- LRA Outfitters (vehicle upfitting): your vehicle details, consultation requests, photos and condition notes of your vehicle at drop-off and pick-up, and your signature on check-in, check-out and quotes.
- Invoices and quotes: your signature when you accept a quote or invoice online.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the referring page. Our hosting provider records these in server logs, and we use your approximate country (from your IP address) to decide which cookie rules apply to you.
- Campaign links: if you arrive from a link with campaign tags (for example an influencer or ad link), we remember those tags for 30 days and save them with an Outfitters inquiry or order, so we know which campaigns work.
- Analytics, advertising and session recordings: only as described in Cookies below.
Information from others
- Payment status and fraud signals from Stripe and Affirm; shipping and tracking status from FedEx; and, if you’re a dealer’s customer, the details your dealer gives us to order or register a warranty for you.
How we use it
- To take, charge for, ship and deliver orders, schedule and carry out Outfitters work, and handle returns, refunds and warranty claims.
- To send emails about your orders, account sign-in, support requests, warranty and scheduled appointments.
- To answer questions and give support (see AI in customer support).
- To run dealer accounts, including dealer pricing and tax-exempt sales.
- To keep accounting and tax records, and to meet legal obligations.
- To understand how the site is used, fix problems and improve it, and measure and show our ads, within your cookie choices.
- To send marketing email if you signed up for it (you can unsubscribe in any marketing email).
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the site secure.
For visitors in the EU, UK and similar places, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (orders, accounts, warranty, Outfitters work), legal obligations (tax and accounting records), our legitimate interests (support, security, fraud prevention, improving our products), and your consent (analytics, advertising, session recordings and marketing email), which you can withdraw at any time.
AI in customer support
We use AI from Anthropic (Claude) to help us answer customers faster. Messages you send to our support or sales email addresses, through the contact form or on a support ticket page are read by an AI assistant. It can look up your order and vehicle fitment in our records to answer.
- For some routine questions (for example order status or which product fits your vehicle), the assistant may send the reply itself. Other replies are drafted by AI and reviewed and sent by our staff.
- The assistant isn’t permitted to take payments, issue refunds or change orders; our staff do those.
- Anthropic processes this information to provide the service to us. Our staff also use AI to analyze our own sales and accounting reports.
If you’d rather a person handle your request from the start, say so in your message or call us at (208) 481-4777.

We also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. Our service providers are in the United States, and information about visitors from other countries is processed there.
Cookies, analytics, advertising and session recordings
Where you are decides the starting point. In the United States and most other countries, analytics, advertising and session recordings are on when you arrive, and you can turn any of them off. In the European Union and EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, South Korea and Turkey, or if we can’t tell where you are, nothing optional loads until you choose Accept. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline everywhere. Your own choice in (also in the footer of every page) always wins, and is remembered in this browser for a year. When you turn something off, we delete its cookies.
| Category | Tools | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Essential (always on) | Our own cookies | Your cart (90 days), sign-in (30 days), a discount code from a link, light/dark theme, your cookie choices and region, and campaign tags (30 days, see above). Adobe Fonts loads our typefaces. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics | Which pages are visited, how people found us, and what they bought, in aggregate. |
| Advertising | Google Ads, Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), Reddit Pixel, Klaviyo sign-up forms | Measuring which ads lead to visits and sales, and showing our ads to people who visited the site. These companies may combine this with what they know about you from other sites. |
| Session recordings | Hotjar, Mouseflow | Recordings of clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, and heatmaps, so we can find what’s confusing or broken. They never run on cart, checkout, payment, account, sign-in or order pages, or on forms where you type personal details (contact, warranty registration, dealer application, consultation booking, build inquiries, waitlist sign-ups). |
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of personalized ads at Google and Meta.
- Emails about your orders, account, support and warranty are sent through Postmark. They don’t contain tracking pixels and their links aren’t rewritten to track clicks.
- Marketing email is sent only if you signed up, through Klaviyo, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
- Dealers receive a monthly stock update for their account; reply to it or contact us to stop it.
Your rights and choices
Selling and sharing
We don’t sell personal information for money. Our use of advertising pixels can count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising under California and other state privacy laws. To opt out, turn off Advertising in , or use a browser with Global Privacy Control. We don’t knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other US states, and the EU and UK), you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it (we keep what the law requires us to, such as order and tax records);
- stop using it for advertising, or stop selling or sharing it;
- in the EU and UK, restrict or object to how we use it, and move it to another company.
Email support@longrangeamerica.com or call (208) 481-4777. We’ll confirm the request comes from you (usually by replying from the email address on your account or order) and answer within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights. If we decline a request you can appeal by replying to our answer, and in the EU or UK you can complain to your data protection authority.
How long we keep it
- Orders, invoices, payments, refunds and dealer tax documents: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Warranty registrations: for the life of the warranty.
- Support messages: while they’re useful for helping you and handling warranty questions, and deleted on request where we’re not required to keep them.
- Your account: until you ask us to close it.
- Marketing email: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics, advertising and session-recording data: under each provider’s retention settings.
Security
The site uses HTTPS. Payment details go straight to Stripe and Affirm. Our database is closed to the public, staff access requires a staff login, and documents such as W-9s, signatures, shipping labels and vehicle photos are kept in private storage. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
Children, changes and contact
The site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top, and tell you by email or on the site if the change is significant.
